Macro Fiber Composites™(MFC) P2 및 P3 타입은 구동 시 d31 효과를 사용하며, -60V에서 +360V의 최대 전압 범위에서 최대 750ppm까지 수축합니다. P2와 P3 MFC는 주로 에너지 harvesting(PEH)과 변형률 센서 용도로 가장 많이 사용됩니다.

P2 타입 MFC는 에너지 harvesting(PEH) 응용을 위해 완전 조립된 캔틸레버 형태로도 제공됩니다.

P3 타입 MFC는 매우 넓은 섬유로 구성되어 있어, P2 타입에 비해 직교이방성(orthotropic) 특성을 갖는 단일 압전 세라믹 판과 유사한 거동을 보입니다. 이러한 구조적 특성으로 인해 P3 타입 MFC는 P2 또는 P1 타입 MFC에 비해 유연성이 더 낮습니다.
